Can any animal, other than humans, run at a brisk speed for the length of a marathon such as the NY 26 mile marathon?

Humans are the only species that run for recreational purposes, for endurance competitions and for fun. Animals only run when they need to run. That aside there are animals that have very high endurance levels, the kangaroo, and the horse are the first that come to mind. Whether those creatures could maintain a 'running' speed for 26 miles is debatable, if you ran a horse for that length at a gallop you would probably kill it, but, it could do it.
