Yes, the glassed can be worn with a strap around the back of the head.

I just moved my strap ( string ) from my glasses away from my ears, they fit perfectly still.

hehe, thats something my grandma would suggest, I hardly wear them and I'm of poor sight.

Four methods, to the best of my knowledge, are available.

- spring hinged glasses that clasp the sides of the head

- strapped glasses (as mentioned above)

- monocles and bi-oculars, wore by virtue of the ocular arch

- pinchers, these glasses have a soft clasp mechanism which holds onto the bridge of the nose

the above are available in most decent opticians, other more expensive options include head glasses where the support rests over the top of the cranium rather than around the head

Kinda an opt out but..... contact lenses anyone.
