Because they are intelligent enough to realise that whatever the source it is not propoganda. No one ever won an election ticket by predicting death and destruction.

- No other political system can now say we have the lead in making the world a better place and at the same time, be Liberal.

If your going to give Global Warming a political preference, then yes, Global warming is then best suited on the Liberal agenda.
Why? No other politcal system is best fit to comfront the issue, changes are made from a Liberal view point. Liberal thinking can greatly effect a city, from a business point of view, and if most of the decisions Liberals make had contributed to global warming, then new Liberal thinking - with Green asperations - can dominate the issue.

Liberals can stand up and say, this is what we are doing now, we are changing the way we do business, better for you, me and the environment.
It's the same Liberal decision making system, but with a greener approach.

The burden is placed in their hands, not the other way.
