Let say it's ok, but If the school place a tower that jams any signal and all you can do is use your phone to take notes and record lessons would you complain ? Only phones with special permission would be allowed to access the Jamming tower, like teacher phones.
A Bit harsh, so be careful what you ask for, be honest with your teachers and you might get some sort of agreement in having your phone switched on during classes, how are phones a great benifit to your education ? Is it like haviong a laptop to do your work ? If your not even allowed to have your own laptop in class to do all your work, you can forget having a mobile phone, well, maybe, not having a laptop is harsh indeed.
They have to draw the line somewhere, or the headmasters are going to need a detector to find all the special devices that can look like ordinary school stuff but are in fact high tech devices. I agree with you, you should be allowed to have a phone, some people have responsibilities and having a phone is needed.

I bet if you have a special note you can bring a phone to school, just don't use it to mess around.
