Of course a relationship can last that has been started online. It all depends on the people involved on the possibilities of a lasting relationship.

If the people involved are so wrapped up in themselves that they only care about their own needs being met, then eventually the relationship will break apart. If even one of the partners is sincere in making the effort to have a loving relationship, then there is hope that the other party will decide to return the love.

If both parties are committed to meeting each others needs above their own needs, then there is no reason for either to ever look elsewhere for their needs to be met. They will have a very fulfilling relationship built on mutual love and respect.

Why would anyone end a relationship that is so fulfilling? Wouldn't you look forward to seeing someone who cares for you more than themselves every day after work? Wouldn't the partner look forward to coming home to you, knowing that you love them and care about meeting their needs over your needs? Wouldn't both of your needs be met?

It doesn't matter where people meet, it matters what they do after they meet.

Thanks for responding Parrot Lady! Altho, I generally have this feeling about the ratio of breakups from these sort of meetings. I say this because Judge Mathis, along with many other court TV shows, there are so many failed relationships that were started online. I just wanna know why is that number so high?

Perhaps it is because you fall in love with the image that the other person projects online. Its a lot easie to say you are something than to actually be it online as the other person only see's the words you are written. I believe the ratio of break ups is so high because of the image and the reality of the person you meet after speaking online is two different people.
