Cheetahs have an average speed of 70mph at their fastest, based on that in 10 minutes a cheetah could run approximately 9 miles in 10 minutes. However a cheetahs top speed is "burst" speed, meaning that they can only maintain that speed for a dozen seconds at best. The cheetah is a fast cat though and could be expected to manage around 2 or 3 miles in 10 minutes if it was under stress or as part of an experiment.
