If Hitler had been caught alive before his suicide he would have been charged with -
crimes against humanity
war crimes
genocide
murder, he tested suicide pills on hos dog before giving them to his wife (did she know?)
infanticide, he gave the same pills to his children, pretty sure they didn't know what they were taking.
...and probably a dozen or more others,
If he had been caught at the time, 1945, he would almost cerainly have been executed by hanging or firing squad. If he was caught alive today he would probably get life imprisonment, but that is a BIG probably as nations around the western world would be screaming out for his blood and that of whichever nation had been hiding him.
As an interesting aside both Roosevelt and Churchill admitted that if they (the allies) had lost the war then they too would have been put on trial for crimes against humanity - bombing of Dresden, atomics in Japan and numerous other atrocities committed by people under their direct command or on their orders.
