Did america ever have a "homosexual" president?

It might have had one.. but we'll never know for certain. Like most countries homosexuality is still a very devisive issue and if a president or presidential candidate 'came out' he, or she, would find themselves out of a job very quickly indeed.
With the current election process running in the states I really am interested this time because I'd love to see America get a black man for president rather than another well-heeled upper-middle class white guy. While Obama is well-heeled and uppermiddle class humself above all else he is black, that in itself will bring about huge changes in the American psyche regardless of his background or ability to do the job, heck, he could be the American equivalent of our own Maggie Thatcher.

Thats pretty much the worst thing I've ever heard! Vote for him because he is black regardless of his background or ability to do the job? You may not realize this, but it's you and your mentality that keep racism and hatred alive. I believe the best person should win...I don't give a poop what color, creed, national origin, sex, or even sexual preference a person is or has. But I will agree with you on the first part about a president (if gay) hiding things to keep some face in the public eye. Truly Yours, The White Man Who Cares About This Country
