No dragons are not real.
They are real when dorks are playing D&D in their Mom's basement! There the trolls wizzards fairies (yes fairies not gay men) and a hoste of other impossibilities come to life until the dungeon master has to do his homework.
Overtime, people just forget the ways of the old, and only know the new - This might be the case with the Dragon becoming a legend, or mythical. Wikipedia says, 'Dragons may be mental representations of natural human fears of snakes, wildcats, birds of prey, as well as teeth, claws, size, and even venom blending with fear of wildfire.'
So I guess no one is left alive to remember them? Living as though we respect the old ancient ways of people are a mystery and hold no real facts to the ways of life, and for good reason, who on earth would believe you...
Did you hear that as a world, we had passes a marker that was left by the Nazi's during the war, a mark that was frowned against and changed after the war. We passed that marker again recently, not mention what is was, and in respect to those that lived during that time - thanks for remembering - yes, it's don't look that bad to us...but please, we can do alot better...and thank you for the recall of event during the time of war..and sorry.
So again, the old ways are gone, and in with the new, no more will people know about the methods of the past, because it is been eradicated, deleted - Gone..
Same with the dragon...well, almost, with the technology in the Bio field, we can make the beast come to life, well at least in Virtual reality, the prospect of making a dragon is somewhat, unreal...
