The crocodile or alligator only long ways.
if a creature were set lose in the sewers, that is as big as a bear, could survive with the amount of junk down there,
and grow as big as a bear and rule the undergrounds.
It would beat the gators for sure but not as easy for people live down there.
Gators don't walk around like bears with arms to open things.

The kangaroo can grow as the size of a small bear, and is really small when born. The kangaroo, known as a joey lives in the mothers pouch.
