I believe they do, whales have to breath air but they do it though their port hole.

not all mammals breath air. there are sea mammals like the whale that breathe underwater but are mammals because the have live births and they produce milk. how do we breathe air. i am still trying to find out.

Oh sweet Jesus..... Whales do not breath underwater, they breath air. Their bodies have adapted over many millions of years to be able to take large amounts of air into their lungs and process it more efficiently than other mammals. ALL mammals breath air btw. PS I'd love to see a whale with gills
