Answer A Question
Will AIDS ever be an ariborne virus like most other viruses?
Answers
after hitting oxygen it dies 10 seconds later
Viruses mutate. You never know, it could happen that HIV can be spread through the air like other viruses.
The biggest fear at the moment is not AIDS becoming an airborne virus. That can be contained and dealt with, even if the means will be fairly drastic.
The biggest fear is this.. At the moment AIDS cannot survive in the gut of the mosquito, if it mutates (which it is doing all the time) then you will have an incurable illness that is 100% fatal, albeit slow acting, that can be transmitted by mosquitos and potentially other biting, blood sucking, insects. If or when that happens scientists predict that as much as 85% of the global population would be fatally infected within 10 years or less as the mosquito is endemic to india, africa, china, asia, most of europe and the americas.
Scary? You bet it is. Scientists have also discovered a possibility that the AIDS virus can use recombinate DNA to steal gene informaion from other viruses so if bird flu hits Africa and manages to widely infect people suffering from AIDS God only knows what kind of super virus is going to get out... catching AIDS through sneezing?! Birds carrying the AIDS virus and spreading it globally?!
Pardon me but I've got to go stockpile some frozen chickens.... laterz
Quite likely. The common cold is a retrovirus and mutated almost identical to how AIDS is. The part thst will also be bad is the fact that AIDS medicine is slowly becoming useless as the virus builds immunity to it. I have a feeling deep inside that this will be extremely drastic in the future.
