I can't really answer this without knowing more about you, which I have no inclination of doing.

The reason your fat might come from your family.

It's not you fault that you are fat, I am very bald( or just bald[what's Very]lol ) and find this a welcome trait from the downline of my family.

These are the average heights and weights for the UK and the USA, compare yourself, it may be you have a bad perception of yourself.

Britain: The average UK woman is 5' 3.8" (162 cm) tall and weighs 147 pounds (67 kg / 10 st 7 lb). This corresponds to a Body Mass Index of 25.5 kilograms/meters?, which is slightly less than the average British man's, and less than the average American female's.

The average UK male stands 5' 9.5" (177 cm) tall and weighs 176 pounds (80 kg / 12 st 8 lb), with a Body Mass Index of 26.0 kg/m?.

USA: Over the ten year period (1991 to 2001), the average American woman's weight increased 11 pounds (7 %), while her height has remained about the same (an increase of 0.1 inch or 0.2% taller). Ten years ago, she weighed 152 pounds (69 kg / 10 st 12 lb) at a height of 5' 3.7" (162 cm). Now, it's 163 pounds (74 kg / 11 st 9 lb) and 5' 3.8" (162 cm).

These are the common issues involving weight

normal and abnormal growth and development (what is normal weight?)

the physiological and hormonal control of ingestion and digestion

appetite, hunger and other motivations to eat

problems in regulating body weight, often resulting in obesity

eating disorders such as anorexia nervosa and bulimia nervosa

effects of disease, often resulting in cachexia

drug abuse (anyone got the munchies?)

Of course other factors would include :

exercise - Do you do the recommended 30 minutes of 'sweaty' exercise?

type of sport they participate in - Do you play any sports? Do you do any cardio-vascular sports?

profession - If you have a job that has you to sitting all day.... well.

Why are you fat? I don't know but you might check through the above to see if you can find any pointers.

Don't forget that fat is not always bad all these famous people were fat and many had gorgeous wives husbands, boyfriends and girlfriends.

Jason Alexander, Fatty Arbuckle, Ned Beatty, John Belushi, Jack Black, Ernest Borgnine, Marlon Brando, Raymond Burr, John Candy, Drew Carey, Charles Coburn, James Coco, William Conrad, Lou Costello, Dom DeLuise, Chris Farley, W.C. Fields, Dennis Franz, William Frawley, Jackie Gleason , John Goodman, Oliver Hardy, Sammo Hung, Wayne Knight, Charles Laughton, Robert Morley, Michael Tucker, Orson Welles. Ricki Lake, Roseanne Arquette, Kathy Bates, Kirstie Alley... the list goes on.

Many people actually look much better fat, can you imagine a thin Oliver Hardy or a thin Jack Black? Not me.
