-------------BLOCK A WEBSITE ON THE COMPUTER.
For eg: you want to block www.vtunnel.com

Open the folder C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc

There you will find a file named HOSTS

Click on the file and press SHIFT and now right click on it .

From the right click menu select Open with .

Now, select Notepad to open the file from the list !

Now, in the file you will read the line 127.0.0.1 localhost (don't touch this line)
add another line under it as 127.0.0.2 www.vtunnel.com.

Now, File>>Save !

Now, open your web browser and try opening www.vtunnel.com , it will not load !

To unblock sites just do the vice versa !

This is one method, other methods can include adding the sites you want blocked to a anti virus or other protecting software. You do need to have Administration permissions to do this.
Simply "disallow" access to the site, or your internet options to block sites.

well this one is a bit tricky. Vtunnel uses a dynamic IP for its http and https sites. If you block www.vtunnel.com using https://vtunnel.com or https://www.vtunnel.com is still allowed. the IP block for vtunnel is 67.159.0.0 - 67.159.63.255 The way I blocked it was in my Cisco Firewall I blocked all inside traffic from going out to 67.159.0.0 255.255.0.0 that blocks the entire subnet and subsequently ANY vtunnel or variant.

That would be terrible idea. 67.159.0.0 is a registered to FDCservers. Which is a bonafied Datacenter in chicago. Doing this your blocking the not just Vtunnel but some other possible 65,025 other websites.

I guess that's 64,024 possible customers who might want to get their hosting somewhere other than a proxy avoidance shelter. No? Yes.
