Does second hand smoke really cause cancer? 5 months 1 week ago

If it did my Dad would not have lived to be 85 y/o. He had stopped smoking about 45 years at least before he died if not longer, but my step-mother smoked probably 2 packs a day. He use to day if 2nd hand smoke killed he would have died years ago. Also, she didn't die of lung cancer at her elderly age. Smoking is an irritant to the lungs and sinuses. Anything like chemicals, paint spraying, field work around dusty crops/gathering can contribute to bronchial problems and are irritants making it hard to breathe. I am one that believes in genetic cancer. When you develop a cancer or even before you will be asked by any doctors you go to....Have any of your family had cancer? What kind? Your chances, if Yes to those questions, will automatcally shoot up. If your Mother, Grandmother, other female close relatives had breast cancer look at your odds of getting breast cancer. If not genetic, then why would the % change, why are they even interested in who in your family has it? Why does so many non smokers, none around smoking develop cancers? So to answer you question from a personal point, no I don't think it "causes" cancer.

Can a fracture of the femur bone show up on an x-ray as a cancer or lesion? 5 months 1 week ago

I wouldn't think so. The x-rays I have looked at before have always shown a Fx as a line across the bone(s) at the site of injury. Usually in a x-ray report if it is a suspected lesion the radiologist will put no fracture seen but an area of density seen and recommend MRI to further evaluate. There is no way it can be called "cancer" unless a biopsy is done to confirm what the lesion is. Up until the biopsy it would be filed or classified as lesion/density of unknown origin. Lesions show up on x-rays as "hot spots" not a distinctive line like a fracture shows. This is based on ones that I have looked at where I work, but in no way am I a radiologist and anything can be odd in the medical field. Just giving you my best answer from past experience. btw my Mom's brain tumor showed up just that...a level of dense matter..no way did it come close to resembling a fracture.

How do I delete a yahoo account? 5 months 1 week ago

To stop using the account I would forward mail from that account to the one I use. That is unless you are getting so much spam on it is the reason you want to get rid of it. But if you just want to stop using it for a new one, then after having that mail forward to the new email account all you have to do is don't log back in there for so many days...not sure but think perhaps 45 days??? check on yahoo for the #days. Main thing is never log back to it and Yahoo will automatically cancel it out. Just be sure before you do all of that that you have nothing in any folders, saved emails etc that you want because once Yahoo cancels that email address they will be gone. It works because I had one and thats the way I got rid of it.
