Yes they do, the fact that the Microsoft operating systems (OS) seem to be attacked more frequently is simply a factor of the number of people who use MSoft OS (XP, Vista, '98 etc). If Macintosh/Apple systems were more widely used you would see their systems being attacked frequently as well but for a malicious hacker there is simply no benefit or point in attacking Mac systems.
Servers using Linux or other freeware/shareware OS also get attacked but as that OS is open source and has a vast support community attacks get fixed extremely quickly as someone who uses an open source OS generally knows how to alter, write and develop the code of the operating system.
