gum does not take seven years to digest.gum does not digest at all.it dosent digest because of what its made of.in rare cases gum would get stuck in your stimach and become a addition to your digestive system.permenantly.i hope that will clear up all these questions about gum.

Just a myth. Our stomachs don't digest gum at all! Made from soluble fiber, chewing gum passes right through us. So gum is eliminated with the rest of your waste, usually a day or two after you eat it. Swallowing gum is not considered harmful.

No it aculy takes 8 years because the sticky substance in the gum ataches to your digeting system. So your body has to contiue to digest the gum. If you swallow gum this will not harm you

No, gum actually just passes through your body at the same rate as any other foods. However it is undigestable so when it does come out it will not be broken down so will still be in it's same form. The idea that it takes 7 years to digest is nothing than just a myth which was thought to be true because of the idea of it being 'undigestible'.
