A traffic ticket is a citation or summons issued to a person by an authorized government official for breaking a motor vehicle law. The citation requires the accused person to appear before a judge or magistrate in court, but allows that person to remain free until the scheduled court date.

Is this a serious question? Like seriously? Ok, for the people who have never been out in the real world apparently, a traffic ticket is the little piece of paper that a police officer gives you when he pulls you over after he turns on his red and blue flashing lights!! The police man gives this to you and tells you what you have done wrong! He then tells you why he is giving you the ticket and how much of a fee you are going to have to pay! so you take your little piece of paper and you go pay it for whatever crime you have done!
a piece of paper/document given to you when you have violated a traffic regulation.
