If a creature of the night that drinks blood can be called a 'hero' then we can work with this.....
A superhero can be defined as any person (or thing?) that has abilities beyond what are normal for average people (or things?). A vampire has well known abilities attributed to it by popular literature, cinema and TV such as -
superhuman strength
superhuman agility
super hearing
night vision (infra red, x-ray, everything it seems)
ability to fly
ability to transform into a bat, horse, gas, dust, liquid, monster, etc
the teeth of course
ability to be killed by sunlight, garlic, stake in heart, love, etc (yes, it is still a super power as normal people don't (usually) get killed by garlic, stake does us normals in though..)
ability to live forever (immortality)
ability to attract young, large breasted women
..and the list goes on. So I guess they are superheros, if you think of them as heros and not evil creatures, 'cos evil creatures are not heros except to other evil creatures maybe.
yes they could be. if the vampire does good deeds when hes up at nite and feeds off of murderers, rapists, and any other people we dont need, why not?
