Usually until you complete your agreement. I would stay away from debt management plans because they are ripoffs in my opinion, you should negotiate directly with your creditors.
Check out Dave Ramsey, he really knows how to get out of debt.
The length of time that the Debt Management Plan will stay in force will largely depend on how much you can afford to pay on a monthly basis. Your Debt Management Advisor will let you know how long the planis likely to last and this will depend on your creditors agreeing to freeze the interest or charges being applied to your account. Also you should be aware that if your circumstances change (eg. Change of job/ income) then your plan might be affected.
