What is Elderly Health checks, are they just another fad My parents already have known for years what ailments they have?

Elderly people become susceptible to various ailments as they grow old, and they may not we even aware that they have a new problem. I am aware of a health camp where prostrate cancer was detected in 2 cases among 72 persons examined. It was detected very early therefore could be treated early with less trouble and higher chance of success. An occasional health check may be good idea especially because elders have a habit of using home remedies for common symptoms that then become a part of life, and that may well be sign of a serious problem.
