Sure but who is going to teach you elementary agriculture and construction techniques. Who is going to teach you how to hunt and prepare your food let alone know whether it is safe to eat or not.
Might sound romantic but that kind of life is short, ugly and squalid. Why the hell do you think everyone is trying to get out of living like that. You could give it a try though, just move to one of Africas poor countries and give it a go.
