What is amazing about our sky is that stars seem to be all the same size
no matter their distance - stars only become dim and fade out.
The closest star is not too far - 400 planets have been found out side our solar system and finding a star should be as easy as finding the right bright spot in our sky.
It's a fact that around 400 planets discovered but no bright star near them, many of these planets are though to support life, so a star must be near by, but not in a normal circular orbit to our eyes if we can not see it when those same planets are out.
The closest star is not discovered yet and is waiting
- I think you need to be outside at the right time
to find special stars like these.
