Who says this? I don't think you can, it's transmitted through the saliva, so I guess if you touch the saliva then maybe?

because it is infect with it like i was watching tv once and they were giving this guy that touch a dead bird that had rabbies and the guy got itor maybe if you have an open cut it can get in by that

the bacteria is still alive though the animal isnt.so you can still get it by touching the animal's mouth, because rabis is tra=nasmitted through saliva.
