If you leave it there it just stays there, might stain the metal from the chemicles in the glue over long time, risking a hole from corrosion.
If you choose to remove it you risk having the metal thin out from solvants and lead to a hole in your tank down the line.
You got troubles mac, but here is some advice -
use the 'Remove super glue instrustions' in the link provided here - http://www.howtogetridof ... super-glue/
Then opt for metal pen(if they exist),
and just give it a coat to strenthen the tank.

When liquid gets in to metal it can ruin it forever and it's worse if the metal is a petrol tank, it can ignite from leaks. A concept solution. Liquid paper might be a longer term solution, a layer on the metal, after a rub down over the glue removal spot, will dry up and soak up a layer of the metal, the liquid paper then comes off bleeching the paint under it and pealing off any solvants it picked up. Now is a good time to apply the metal pen ink. You get want I mean, remove the solvants that can lead to early corrosion from the glue...Liquid paper might not be the answer but it's a concept to think over - only it might increase corrosion.... I was going to say throw it out, it's not worth the risk...if it blows it's going to have an impact.
