go to the vet and ask them what kind of flea replant is best for your cat it it to her and get her one of those big white collars to stop her from irritating the bite marks

i've just dealt with this- i'm so sorry. bathe your kitty with a gentle shampoo (soapy water drowns the fleas so you don't need a flea shampoo- just a very thorough lather). dust everything with diatomaceous earth and let it sit for at least a couple hours if not a couple days then hoover, then steam. repeat. you can also try adding earth animal internal powder (recommended by martha stewart's holistic ver) to your cat's food. fleas don't like the taste of garlic (small quantities and powdered form so safe for cats) and the yeast so they will start looking elsewhere for a meal. also consider switching to raw/ very high quality canned food as fleas don't like healthy animals as much as those who's immune systems are compromised by poor nutrition. if these measures don't work, you may need to break down and bomb your home and do a single application of advantage but consult your vet first. the white collar is a great suggestion but hopefully these changes will alleviate the problem and it won't be necessary. good luck!

i am currently dealing with a mass infestaion my self!, itching , sores, sratching, now heres my take on the whole flea thing, being insects that need 3 thing to live, food, warmth, and a place to stay, take one or all those away and they will be gone , bug bombs work well to smoke them but do little on the eggs, the best (but hardest) is COLD TEMPS they will all die in realy cold temps, leave home for a few days windows open doors at mostly night time temps, fleas hate cold, they love warm. keep that in mind and they will go away!!
