Use a leather cleaner if it's leather and use a microfiber cloth to clean it

Vintage? Like ancient? treat it like you found a fossel in the ground...Brush, wipe and treat it very delicately.

Found this info on www.australianinnovation.com: Step 1> Mix one part white vinegar to two parts linseed oil. Food grade linseed oil is available at some grocery stores and specialty markets. There are also commercial linseed oil products available for cleaning leather. Step 2> Dampen a lint-free cloth in the vinegar solution and apply it to the chair in a circular motion. The vinegar will cut through the grime, and the linseed oil will condition the leather so that it doesn't crack and is more stain resistant. Step 3> Leave the solution on the chair overnight so that it can dissolve the grime and work into the leather fibres’. Step 4> Buff the excess vinegar solution from the chair with a clean, lint-free cloth. Make sure to remove all the excess solution so lint and dirt does not stick to it.
