It's a possiblity many have to ask themselves in many carees.
Military, police are two for example and the risk of killing someone is real.
Even if you choose no, you are still welcome to wear the uniforms and do other duties, joining these ranks don't automaticly mean you have to shoot someone dead, but the right to do so is there if need be.
But when it comes to war you dont have to be a military person to defend yourself.
I have to say yes, it's no biggie. I'll even make a personal note if possible to the local priest for their blessing in the passover. Hate to see a curse left on the victim, from his life on earth bring him to hell.

I would have to say that it depends on circumstances. Lets say for example that your daughter is violently raped. I myself being a male hate it when people like this get such a light sentence like 20 years or even life in prison. (We pay for them to live with our taxpaying money so in a way we give life to those in my opinion don't deserve it.) What I believe to be fair justice is this: Let the justice system give its verdict and sentence and then talk to fellow inmates that are already on death row to beat this person ceaselessly for $1000 a piece. (Cheap and fair justice in my opinion) but tell them not to kill them...just come close to it. When they finally are getting better repeat the process until it becomes inhumane with the persons age. This way I am not getting my hands as dirty. So to recap could i pull the trigger directly? Yes if it was me or them but if i had a choice then i would prefer for someone else to carry out the physical aspect. May sound weak to some but i think its a smart way to go about it.

Only in a life or death situation of if there was a real chance they could kill my family or friends.
