Did population increase or decrease after the holocaust?

Population always increases, especially after the end of the 2nd world war. Many men returned after the war to start families - many marriages were aso delayed until the war finished - this was the 'baby boomer' generation.
If you are talking about the jewish people/population then again teh answer has to be yes, to be sure many jews were brutally murdered in the war/holocaust, but the only way the population could go was up. At this time I cannot find any figures to compare jewish numbers against pre or post war. Global population though has risen significantely since the end of the war/holocaust however.
