I have done my research and found out that it depends on the amount of melanome in your skin.
Black people have alot of melanome in their skin so they can tolerate the sun therefore not getting burnt easy as a white person who lacks that amount of melanome so the whiter you are the easier it is to get burnt because you have less melanome in your skin!

Ignore Cass.p's answer Oz, he/she is wrong. Would have thought you'd know better than to trust someone who can't spell 'know'... lol - Milander
Great to hear from you again Milander. I might be wrong, you get enough people insisting I am , I begin to agree - despite past education. As we grow, other generations begin to take control - and insist on facts. This is why I agreed, to avoid conflict - I really don't care who grows to rule the free world, only know that others were here before them and deserve to be recognized - not contradicted, this is like an invading country apposing all that you once knew and have you never say any of that again. Enough of my crap - d - out.
i think no because their skin is already too dark
The answer is yes, or was, blogging is good in sharing facts so here is an oldie. The sun is easily obsorbed in the dark skin, like when you are taned and are less prone to sun burn. It's simple logic.
Conditions in weather has changed but not so much to outline this common fact.
People of colour do NOT get sunburnt as quickly as pale skinned people do. They can get sunburnt and, of couse, develop a tan (relatively speaking).
Do not confuse dark colours and heat absorption with absorption of other spectra in particular UV (ultra violet) rays which cause sunburn.
The dark colour of the skin is caused by the presence of a chemical called melanine which absorbs UV light safely. Dark skin is an evolutionary development caused by living in countries which have longer periods of daylight or are closer to the equator where the Suns rays are stronger than at higher latitudes. The 'tan' pale people develop is in fact caused by an increase in melanine in the skin as the body tries to protect itself against the Suns rays.
Consider the fact that high incidences of sunburn are linked to the development of skin cancer then take a look at Australia. Skin cancer is the number one cause of death amongst white australians, the rates of skin cancer amongst the indigenous aboriginals (very dark skinned) of Australia are negligible.
