In the book, Buried Alive by Edger Allen Poe The person was in a Catatonic state, It is however highly unlikely
that it ever happened in reality.

rigor mortis :P There have been a few cases where there is no heart or brain activity and the subject is clinically dad, however new research by us brits (typical, cant cure cancer but) have found that clinically dead people may still feel pain when it comes to having doner ops.
