A prime number is any whole number that is only divisible by itself and one. The first ten prime numbers are 1, 2, 3, 5, 7, 11, 13, 17, 19, and 23. The only even prime number is the number 2.

A prime number is a number that cannot be produced from multiplying any other whole numbers, ie 1,3,5,7
