Losing weight in general does not mean binging on food. It's quite opposite. You see, when you skip meals, your body craves more of what you want to eat and it also sends a bad signal into your system to replace what you just lost by not eating.
For example, let's say that you are pregnant. Pregnant woment needs to drink a minimum of 8-10 (8 oz) glasses of water a day, in addition to eating healthy. If you don't, then the child that is growing in your stomach is going to get it's nutrition from other sources of your body, which can lead to malnutrition and dehydration on your end.
As an individual trying to lose weight, fortunately your body is not responsible for nurturing to systems. So, if you decide to go without days of eating or drinking, then prepared to go to the hospital and be stuck with a bag (or two) of IV to rehydrate your system back temporarily. And just hope that that is the minimal damage that occurred. This does not only affect your internal organs, but it can affect your mental being as well.
This is what I do and what works for ME. This is not intended as a suggestion nor a recommendation, but merely for your reading pleasure. DO NOT take anything of what I say out of context. And as always, DO NOT DO ANYTHING WITHOUT THE GUIDANCE OF YOUR MEDICAL PRACTITIONER. Also, every persons body is different and between you and your doctor, you guys should know best. Keep in consideration your gene pool as well. Don't forget where you inherit most of your body style.
I eat small portions and snack throughout the day. I have also learned and witnessed/practiced myself the following: Breakfast should be your biggest meal of the day, with Lunch next, and then dinner should be proportionate and not overwhelming. I also drink lots of green tea and water.
My metabolism actually increases simply by eating small portions, snacking, AND drinking green tea. The water helps replenish what the green tea dishes out of my system and also keeps me hydrated. Green tea is a great anti-oxidant and also helps with cleaning my system out of junk... even when I am sick.
As always, NOBODY is perfect... even myself. I have to tell myself everyday to drink water, but my green tea is religiously done daily. Oh, and I am a "chocoholic" and eat chocolate daily.
Figure out what your body is and who you are. You will then get to know your body and understand what it is telling you. It is an amazing relationship once you get that part started. And most importantly EXERCISE. Cardio work-outs is an excellent way to both keep in shape and healthy!!
There is no link to give, because this is a personal testimony for your "reading pleasure" ONLY and NOT to be taken as a suggestion or a recommendation.
