Groceries, and everything is costing more because the costs to produce, grow, and ship products cost more. The cost of oil is a big factor.

Check to see if you local grocery store is accidently over charging you. The signs to look out for are charity cans leaning up against digital scales, or anything touching the side of the scales.
This throws the scales out of order and charges you more than you should pay.
A local grocery store had this problem and was over charging customers. Even if it's was only 50c per sale, This mounts up and can cost regular customers over $500 per year.
Also watch to see if cashier is holding your grocery bag when using scales, this can add a little weight .

I got this info from a news program down under. A local grocery was blamed for the charity can being too close to the scales costing locals more money for their groceries.
